You Are My One True Love

The Story:

Everything was fine with you and your girlfriend even after you decided to get a single messenger account.  The problems started when your ex girlfriends decided to bombard you with messages.  Now she can get a bit jealous from time to time so it's in your best interest to delete those messages before it's too late but remember: the phone buzzed, so if there are no new messages, that would be suspicious.

       

About the game and how to play:

Made for Brackeys Game Jam #2.

The game is presented like a platformer mixed in with a messenger mini game. The idea is to delete all messages that might make your girlfriend jealous which is pretty much any message sent by an other girl. 

The game is meant to be played with WASD for the character movement and the Mouse for the Messenger mini-game. Keep in mind that both are going on simultaneously so you have to be quick.  And NEVER delete all new messages because that's even more suspicious.

You get tools to help you with that task: 

The chocolates distract her for a while as she eats them; the flowers help you rebuild some of the trust she might have lost in you and the fire extinguisher.... is self explanatory. 

Use 1,2 and 3 (above WASD) to select between the tools.

Pretty much all interaction is done with the "E" key near an object or your girlfriend.  "Escape" to Pause.

About me and the development:

My name is Tzani and I was a 3D artist at Snapshot games. 

This is my first attempt at a 2D pixel art game. I enjoyed drawing the sprites and learning new and interesting software for this project. YouTubers like Brakeys helped my a lot this past week. Even though I could only work in the evenings and I was working alone I had a lot of fun creating this little" time-waster". 

 A lot of features got left on the cutting room floor but I hope you enjoy my game.
